If your female Molly has been in the same tank with a male molly then you can almost guarantee that she will be gravid (pregnant). If she is behaving in a touchy and skittish manner doing short dashes from place to place near the bottom of the tank then it is quite possible she is letting her young free (giving birth).
Molly Is Pregnant With Kevin
no.
if her stomach is big
yes she is about 20 weeks
Yes, it can! I have researched quite a bit on freshwater aquariums as well as molly breeding and from my personal experience owning a gold dust molly and balloon mollies, they can interbreed within their species, my gold dust male impregnated my balloon molly, and her fry turned out to be a cross between the two types of fish, which were adorable! You want to check for signs of her being pregnant, their should be a triangular gravid spot near her anal fin which is darker then the rest of her body, as well as unusual behaviours such as swimming in one spot and hiding, you also should be able to notice a size difference in your molly. Well hope this helped, if you have any more questions ask away!
Yes, a female cat is called a Molly. If she is pregnant or nursing a litter, she is called a queen.
Any molly can be made gravid (pregnant) from around 3 months old if they are well reared.
In dropsy the scales stick out from the body like a wood rasp. If your female molly has been in a tank where there is a male molly present then it is almost certain that she is gravid (pregnant).
She got pregnant with tommos brother
In general, gold dust molly fish do not intentionally eat their babies. However, there is always a small risk of cannibalism, especially if the babies are left unattended or if the mother is stressed. Providing plenty of hiding spots and plants in the aquarium can help protect the fry from being eaten.

They dont always die and its probaly because of stress of two many fish, not enough hiding spots, or other fish or diseases. By the way sorry about your dead molly. Hope this saves some fish' lifes.
