I don't recommend feeding meat or fish often, if you want to provide protein, use shellfish meat. Plecos and most loaches are largely vegetarian. Use bulldog clips to hold down pieces of zucchini (courgette), cucumber, peas, pumpkin, broccoli, lettuce etc.
