No, if they are cold water it will probably kill the fish but hot water, maybe
Salt Water Fish
You are talking about salt water (marine) fish. Maybe you should ask on the "salt water" category.
the salt comes with a scoop and 1 per gal of water is what I do and it has worked great for me
You should check and adjust the heating temperature, then turn on the cold water to fill the tank.

Epoxy is a near perfect water barrier. This applies to salt water as well. As the epoxy coated tank and the salt water does not contact, the corrosion does not occur.
None Iodised Salt can be added to an aquarium at times as a cure for fungus and some species of fish need some salt in their water. Salt should only be added to a fish tank if there is a specific need for it.
To the best of my knowledge there should be sufficient iodine in the sea salt you use to make the sea water without adding more.
If the water is coming from the main, it should not be dirty. If it comes from the cold water storage tank in the loft, maybe it needs to be cleaned or covered.
i dont really know sorry
You will get warm instead of hot water. There is a tube inside the tank on the cold side that goes to the bottom of the tank and the hot comes directly from the top. Reverse them and you are going to get the cold water that settles to the bottom of the tank. It will not hurt the tank or anything, it just makes for poor hot water.
