A feeder guppy is a guppy that is sold or going to be fed to a fish. Guppies are commonly used for this because so many are born at one time, and are usually born once a month.
They are just guppies that are not quite as pretty as others.
not a chance. you could buy guppies as feeder fish for them though.
Goldfish. They are "feeder" fish for them.
Feeder Fish. Most common types of these massed produced fish are Comets, Ghost Shrimp, Guppies, and Rosey Reds.
community fish like tetras, guppies, swordtails, barbs (not with guppies!), rasborasyou can find compatibility charts available online with a bit of research
some very cheap tropical fish are guppies, danios, white clouds, and many species of tetra can be very cheap. also, if you are just looking for any fish, not neccessarily "pretty" i would go with feeder guppies.
Yes it will. I had my goldfish in the same tank with some feeder guppies. When the feeder guppies got hungry and there wasn't any food, they would chew some of my goldfish's tail off. It grew back after a few weeks.DON'T WORRY!
If he is active then he is probably okay. Try different types of food to see what he will eat. Check out what the baby turtles at petshops are being fed (this is usually feeder guppies, *ask the clerk for feeder guppies and they will show you*). If he still won't eat keep trying different things. A few things I would recommed that my turtle ate after he refused to eat would be: worms, feeder guppies, steak, fish meat, and pretty much any meat (although raw would be best for a baby). If you just got him then just be patient and keep introducing food until you find something he will eat.
They are so obviously different from one another there could not possibly be a mistake in sexing them. The females are large and grey. The males are small and colourful. What is hard about that?
Yes, as a matter of fact. I have an eastern painted turtle living with one right now along with rosey feeder fish and guppies.
Are these fancy guppies or feeder guppies? If you have fancy guppies, raise the temperature to 78 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, do frequent (at least weekly) 50% or more water changes and feed them small amounts of food every 4 hours when possible. Newly hatched baby brine shrimp are a good source of nourishment, but normally by 4 months guppies are large enough that they can be fed larger live and frozen foods.
Yes, I had a guppy live in my saltwater tank for a year. They are considered a brackish fish.... so they can adapt to a higher salinity level
