Sharks never lived on land so they didn't ADAPT to water. They always have lived in water. When a shark knocks on your front door, you can say that they adapted to a new environment. Adaptations can only be in behavior. Physical attributes are defined by genetics which means, they are what they are. They aren't adaptations. They can be physical traits of survivors.
