During the winter, fish go dormant and should not be fed. Fish will feed on the algae that is present in the pond. When the temperatures warm up (over 50 degrees) supplemental food can be purchased from your local garden center. Don't overfeed them though, the uneaten food will fall to the bottom and affect the quality of the water.
