What happens if you hit a shark?

It will stun most sharks for a few seconds since they have a nerve running down there body they use to detect sharp movement in the water. After that it will either swim off because it was curious or attack because it is threatened by you hitting it.

well, if you are on a surf board, get off. it looks to the shark like you are a seal, which is it's favorite meal. Sharks don't have a good eye sight. If the shark gets hold of you, hit it with all your strength in it's nose or eye. (eye better)

Back up against a coral reef and put your hands over it's gills when it comes again and do not let go!
