I highly doubt that'll ever happen. But if it does, I guess it leaves more fish for dolphins, rays, and whales. Plus fisherman always get a ton of fish...literally.
the producers would decrease in population as the herbivores which the sharks would have ate, would grow in population.

Sharks became extinct during the epic battle of the sea to decide which of the two mammals TRUELY ruled the seas between the sharks and the dolphins. The sharks were no match for the dolphin's almighty power which caused the sharks to all die off as the dolphin leader conquered all the sharks till they became extinct.
No, sharks are not herbivores. They are carnivorous predators that primarily feed on other fish, seals, and marine mammals.
Manatee, Dugong, Sea Urchin, Sea Slug, and more... not sharks they are carnivores.
Pacific sleeper shark (Somniosus pacificus) is thought to be both a predator and a scavenging carnivore.
Sharks are still in existence, while dinosaurs became extinct long ago.
Crush and Squirt are the only two actual ones, as far as I can tell. It could be argued that, technically, the sharks are herbivores, because they refuse to eat fish. Though the logic of that is hardly sound. It's still, as far as I can tell, the closest you can get to having 3 herbivores in the movie. So are the sea turtles although it really depends on the species of sea turtles
The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is a slow-moving filter-feeding, and is a carnivore of krill and other plankton organisms.
Most Sharks are carnivores, since they eat meat almost exclusively. Sharks are problems on beaches, because they eat and attack people. If they were herbivores, they would most likely not behave as aggressively.
