hard water.
Yes, distilled water can be used to grow and hatch triops. However, it's important to make sure the water is free from any contaminants and at the proper temperature to support the development of the triops. Maintaining water quality and conditions is crucial for the health and growth of triops.
A sandy bottom shouldn't bother triops. In fact triops like sand in the bottom of the tank because they can lay their eggs in the sand and cover them up. This prevents other triops from eating the eggs, and lets you hatch another batch later. Just make sure you wash the sand first, and don't use ocean sand because it contains salt that could mess up the pH for your triops. This link has more information on what kind of sand triops like and how much to add : http://www.triopsguys.com/triop-tank-setup-for-t-australiensis-21/
You can buy a kit that will supply you with triop food, eggs and sand and a small container. The container supplied is normally very small and is only big enough to keep one triop in. First buy distiller water (DO NOT USE TAP WATER AS IT CONTAINS TO MUCH CHLORINE/CHLORIDE AND WILL KILL THEM) Your water should contain either no chloride/chlorine or a maximum of 10mg. Poor about 3/4 of your water into the container. Poor half of your eggs in once the water has reached room temperature. Put your container (with the eggs and water in) under a desk lamp at a maximum of 75 watts. Wait 24 hours and they should have hatched! If there doesn't appear to be any don't through anything away for 7 days because by then your triops will become clearly visible. Anything under 7 days and your triops might still be microscopic! After 3 days start feeding them a VERY small pinch of the food. Only add sand after 2-3 weeks. Enjoy your triops!!
you dump the cold water by going into the backpack and clicking use while you are by the hatch.
yes but make sure that its not any water that may have any bad things in it, like really high or low pH or any chemicals

yes sure
There are many habitats for Triops But the single most common theme of a Triops habitat is a water body that dries out for at least some time during the year. So that when the larvae hatch they are free from pr editors like fish and dragon flies etc. Triops are opportunistically filling a habitat that would otherwise be used by other animals like fish. read more about the life cycle of Triops at www.billabongbugs.com
Tripods eggs should hatch within 24 hours. If they have not call the company. It is very important to use bottled water with these.

I opened the hatch on the submarine. I watched the egg hatch. The thieves got together to hatch a plan.
