It depends on the Puffer. Some puffers (like the Green Spotted Puffer) are omnivorous and will eat any plants put in the tank. Other puffers, like the Dwarf Puffer need a very heavily planted tank to feel safe and secure. Puffers are happy as long as there is a lot of decor to explore and places to hide. -Hannah- GreenSpottedPuffer.net
Any aggressive or predatorial fish can go with a parrot fish. Eels Lionfish Puffers Triggers Groupers sharks large tangs large angels etc...
Yes,the Oto will clean the puffer's leftovers(puffers are messy eaters)
Pufferfish are actually very friendly and smart fish! Although, you have to be careful about what other fish you put in the tank. Puffers are carnivorous! They will eat other fish! But when it comes to people they are an awesome pet to have! They will learn to recognize you over time and actually show excitement when they see you! Sometimes you can actually pet them if they'll let you! I have done it many times with my pufferfish! If your puffer does allow you to pet him wash you hands IMMEDIATELY after petting him! Their skin is very poisonous! If you forget to wash you hands and accidentally put your finger in your mouth later it can be harmful! Puffers are the second most poisonous animal in the world!
Puffer fisha actually should not be put with any other fish.. puffers are very aggressive and puff up often when stressed outt.. i was so sad when i could not put puffers in my aquarium because i think they are so cute!
Green Spotted Puffers have unusual salt requirements, while they can be kept in freshwater for a very short time when young, they need to be acclimated to brackish, and eventually full marine conditions to survive. Because of this, and their huge space requirement (30+gallons per fish) there isn't much that can be kept with them. See: http://greenspottedpuffer.net/tankmates.htm that's is a very good site to go to a nother site is http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/ u will need to feed them a viriety of foods. 0-2in pifers should be fed every day.3-4 in puffers should be fed every other day. 5+in puffers should be fed every 3-4 days this maybe hard because they will beg. but if u feed them to much u can kill them. only feed them till there bellys r slightly rounded. u will need to feed them piecise of scalop, crab legs n osters from ur local grocerie store. also gut loaded ghost shrimp, brine shrimp, blood worms, and most importent snails. snails r vital for puffers it helps keep there teth trimbed down.
Freshwater puffer fish are known to be aggressive towards other fish, so they are best kept in a species-only tank. Attempting to house them with other fish can lead to potential fin nipping and aggression towards tank mates. It is recommended to keep freshwater puffer fish in a species-specific setup to ensure their well-being.
If, when other fish are in the same environment as piranhas, the other fish are eaten, then piranhas are a type of fish that eats other fish. your welcome
It is generally not safe to put betta fish with other fish in the same tank, as bettas are known to be aggressive and may attack other fish. It is best to keep bettas in a tank by themselves to prevent any harm to other fish.
You can't put tropical fish with each other or they will eat eachother
You put minnows or other fish well im not sure
Beta fish do NOT like other fish, they may try to kill the other fish or get seriously injured by the other fish.So probably not.
