When fish die the experience an out of body experience, where they stay near their dead body for 3 days. During those 3 days they encounter the souls of other dead fish that never made it to the final hereafter. After the 3 days are up, if lucky, they are taken up to God's gigantic pond in Heaven where they will stay for all eternity. One way to know if your fish didn't make it to the final hereafter is if after or before the 3 days, the body is completely gone. When this has happened the soul of the fish must stay at that same location where it died until the final destruction of the Universe after the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.
