There may have been more red colouring in the fishes dried food than usual. It is also possible the fish has some bowel damage. I would try feeding the fish earthworms (the best food in the world for any fresh water fish) for a couple of days and see if its poo improves. You could also add 1 level teaspoon of Magnesium sulphate (MgSO4) to two gallons of tank water. This should help clean out the fishes tummy. The concentration will decrease naturaly with each weekly water change you do.
