They won't fight, they will try to avoid the males sometimes because the males constantly follow the female. They will fight if they want to. Males don't constanly follow the females. I have seen my guppies fight, but they wont kill each other. My guppies never fallow each other unless if they want to mate. It takes a couple of seconds to mate then they stop following each other.
