Why don't men wear high heels?

Men can wear high heels but they shouldn't.

Men can wear high heels. Only to prove how (un)comfortable high heels can be, I have worn high heels. In this way I can feel & understand how women may have problems with high heels. Some women don't have problems with high heels, and I say that's great for them!

High Heels are widely considered a women's fashion, and so it would be rather weird seeing a male in fashion high heels, due to the stereotyping of heels and women. This may have started as a "women's only" style in ancient Rome where prositutes wore high heels as a signal that they were in that line of work. In Europe high heels were also a rich woman's style to indicate that they were wealthy enough not to have to walk on the cobblestone streets

Cowboy boots (real ones) have 2" heels. Men wear them from Texas to Alberta. In fact this is the last remnant of the high heel shoe that was developed as an exclusive male type of footwear by the Persians in the 1600's. The heel let them have a better hold on the stirrup.

Yes, it is true that men would have a better chance of falling while wearing high heels. That is due to the fact that weight distribution is different between men and women. With women their weight is mostly from their hips to their toes, but for men their weight is mostly from their hips to their necks. So, it really has nothing to do with balance; it is the weight distribution that makes it harder for men to wear high-heeled shoes.
