Guppies like to be around 75F so it may be looking for a cool spot in the tank. Hot water rises so its warmer at the top than the bottom. Or there could be many other reasons. If you are doing everything by the rules below the fish should not be sick. :- 1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. :- Every tank needs at least 50% of its water changed every week. Keep the above rules and your fish stand a chance. Fail in any of them and I can guarantee that you will have constant health problems with your fish.
You should probably transfer it in a cup or trap it. ;)
if you have your fish in a cage the water has probably drained out and he is deceased, you must always put fish in an aquarium
No! :)No freshwater aquarium fish to my knowledge is poisonous.
I suggest that you learn more about your fish in your aquarium. One of your fish might be a bottom sucker which means that they eat all of the dirt on the side or bottom of your tank. If one of your fish are bottom suckers, that's probably the reason why your aquarium is clean. If none of your fish are bottom suckers, than somebody must be secretly cleaning your tank for you.
It takes around 3 - 4 weeks for a platy fish to give birth.
When they are bigger that bite size. But you should wait until they are at least 1/3 of your adult fish to prevent bullying. Cheers! -Sarah
They are freshwater fish.
The African dwarf frog can indeed live with fish in a five gallon aquarium. BUT BEWARE!!! dwarf frogs may eat your fish small enough to fit in it's mouth. so i recommend Platy and live-bearers as companions.
Yes, platy fish are livebearers, meaning they give birth to live young instead of laying eggs.
Perhaps see this question:Why_has_a_guppy_fish_has_been_hanging_around_the_bottom_corner_of_the_tank_trying_to_seclude_herself_from_the_other_fishAlternatively, perhaps she is trying to seclude herself?
Platy fish are livebearers, which means they give birth to live young rather than laying eggs. The female platy fish will carry the fertilized eggs inside her body until they hatch into baby fish, known as fry.
Platy fish eggs are small, clear, and round in shape. They can be distinguished from other fish eggs by their size and transparency. Platy fish eggs are typically smaller and more transparent compared to other types of fish eggs.
