When you add fresh water to the tank make sure it is dechlorinated, and is the same temperature as the water in the tank. When adding the water into the tank do it slowly so no currents are made in the that could scare the fish or blow them around.

To cold to go swimming?

It all depends on what you are doing in the water. For instance if you are just going to wade around your body will not produce a lot of heat and you will cool off way faster then if you were moving around. If you plan on exercising the lowest I'd do it in is 66*f anything below that and you will start facing some serious issues really quickly. If you are just wading around not doing anything I'd say keep it above 72 even though you can go lower you might get uncomfortable. This isn't taken from a scientific report or anything, but this is just my personal experiences from swimming over the years.

How do you get your dog to love swimming in your swimming pool because my dog is so terrified he claws onto anything when he gets lifted above it?

Since your dog isn't used to being around large bodies of water I'm assuming it's either really young, or older and not used to water.I would suggest bringing it out to the beach, or lake and using techniques to get it in or around the water; throwing toys in, etc.Once the dog's used to being around water and the concept of swimming you can try the same techniques in a pool.
