Its much better to use www.answers.com, because it collates info from multiple sources, like reputable dictionaries and the like. Chances are, no matter what you type in they will have an answer, if nothing reputable there may be a wikipedia entry.
The only problem is really recent events, such as the results of 'todays football' etc. Answers.com isn't updated very regularly, and some Wikipedia edits won't appear on Answers.con for a while.
