Kabobs Ingredients:

red peppers, cut into 1 1/2 x 2-inch pieces
green peppers, cut into 1 1/2 x 2-inch pieces
red onions, halved, heart removed, separated into two 1 1/2 - 2-inch pieces, 2 layers thick
steak cubes
teriyaki marinade
salt and pepper
skewers

Kabobs Procedure:

• Place one piece of steak on a skewer. (Do the same for all kabobs you intend to make.)
• Add red peppers, 2 onion petals and green peppers.
• Repeat until skewer is full, finishing with a piece of steak.
• Place skewers into a long, deep container.
• Pour in 2 cups of Teriyaki Marinade for every six skewers, completely submerging skewers.
• Toss gently to make sure they are well coated.
• Marinate skewers for 6 hours.
• After 6 hours, remove skewers from marinade and place on a paper towel covered plate or dish to drain. (or a pan with a rack)
• Refrigerate, covered, until ready to cook.

TERIYAKI MARINADE

Marinade Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Pineapple Juice
1 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper

Marinade Procedure:

• Place vinegar and sugar in a mixing bowl.
• Whisk until sugar is dissolved.
• Add remaining ingredients and whisk to combine.

Grilling Kabobs - Procedure:

• Season steak and vegetable skewer on both sides with salt and pepper.
• Place on a hot, well oiled grill.
• Cook for 2-3 minutes.
• Turn and continue to cook 2-3 minutes.
• Repeat, turning occasionally to cook on all sides, until steak has been cooked to desired doneness.
• Thoroughly brush with Teriyaki glaze on all sides before removing from grill. Serve immediately.
