First you will need a very large tank ( around 8 foot x 2 foot x 2 foot) A gravel substrate. A few large flat rocks on the substrate for them to choose from as a spawning place. The tank will need to be heated to 80F and properly filtered. You will need a proven pair (male and female) adult Astronotus ocellatus (Oscar) in breeding condition. They will need to be fed a variety of live foods such as small fish and earth worms etc as well as their normal Oscar pellets.. After they have successfully spawned and raised their youngsters to about quarter of an inch long you will need around 20 or 30 x 3 foot tanks to spread the youngsters around in to grow on prior to finding them homes. 1 spawning of Oscars can provide over 1000 fry to handle.
