Pickles are not inherently deadly to African grey parrots, but they can be harmful due to their high salt content and potential for containing preservatives or spices that are toxic to birds. African greys have sensitive digestive systems, and a diet high in salt can lead to health issues like dehydration or kidney problems. It's best to avoid feeding pickles to African greys and stick to bird-safe fruits and vegetables. Always consult a veterinarian for specific dietary advice for your pet.

In the novel "Deadly, Unna?" by Phillip Gwynne, Pickles is a local football player who plays for the opposition team, the Waratahs. He is known for his aggressive and intimidating playing style, often targeting the protagonist, Gary Black (Blacky), during games. Pickles serves as a symbol of the racial tensions and conflicts present in the small Australian town where the story is set.
I personally Think Pickles is not a likeable Character. He is scruffy, feral and a tad up himself. He isn't the type of character that i would like personally.
