As of September 23, 2007, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will not be touring until they release another album. Flea will be appearing with Eddie Vedder and former Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Jack Irons

I have not read/heard of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers disbanding, but i do know that The Chilli Peppers drummer, Chad Smith is working on the new Sammy Hagar side project Chickenfoot, which features Hagar, Smith, Joe Satriani, & Ex Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony.

The Chili Peppers are not on tour yet, but they will most likely tour in support of their upcoming album. They do have a confirmed show at the Summer Sonic Festival located in Chiba Marine Stadium & Maluhari Messe, Chiba, Japan

The band has toured recently, but is currently on a hiatus. The band members have stated that they are taking a 1 to 2 year break from recording and touring.

yes they are, they went on hiatus because John Frusciante quit the band, but now they've found a new guitarist and are recording an album which will probably be released in early 2011.
