Many species are called Pacus but they mainly come from the same area and inhabit similar conditions so I would say yes but only if your aquarium is over 8 to 10 feet long x 2 feet High and 2 feet Wide. It would need to be set up with large power filters and low pH water. Pacus get over 3 feet long and commonly weigh in at over 60lbs.
Not all species that are piranha-like are carnivores. The Pacu-Pacu generally eat seeds that fall into the water and they look like piranhas. The Pacu-Pacu can also be kept in tropical home aquariums as a species tank.
No I don not think so. Maybe the carnivorous ones but I know for a fact that Pacu, a relative of the pirahna that feeds on plants, are sold at Petsmart and make great pets.
There are several species known colloquially as Pacu fish. They are all related to and larger than the Pirahna. They get VERY BIG. Over a metre and weighing in at over 60lbs. To the best of my knowledge there is no sexual dimorphism in aquarium specimens. I would assume that in adult fish the female is the one that lays the eggs.
There is supposedly 25 species of pirahna. Red pirahna, red bellied pirahna, red eyed pirahna, black shoulder/ ear pirahna, cariba pirahna(wich is the same as the black shoulder/ ear), piraya pirahna, black pirahna or rhom, gold pirahna or spilo, elongated or pike pirahna, brandtii pirahna, manuel's pirahna, geryi or violet line pirahna and compressus pirahna.
You got a pirahna with anorexia.
It depends on the type of pirahna
Pacu are not as aggressive as Piranhas but can be if threatened.
on admission into the pacu, 30 minutes after admission into the pacu, and at 60 minutes
I think you mean Pacu: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacu
You have to be 18 to watch the (2010) film pirahna.
A pacu is any of several South American freshwater fishes related to the piranha.
Red belly pacus are the same thing as a black pacu and it all depends on how your pacus act.
