No. Only aquatic snails can live in water. It is not adviseable to add any snails to an aquarium IMO anyway.
yes
Amoeba live in mud and water of ponds and ditches. Really, they can live in any kind of still water environment.
Snail do not need company so the death of the fish will not affect it in any way other than to leave more oxygen available for the snail. It will be perfectly OK for several weeks provided the water does not go bad.
To safely introduce a snail to a tank with betta fish, acclimate the snail to the tank water temperature, ensure the tank has enough hiding spots for the snail, and monitor the betta's behavior towards the snail to prevent any aggression.
I recommend anything with water and space for the snails to eat. Basically any freshwater fish tank with be okay for the snails. I must tell you though, never to put snails in with beta fish because sometimes the beta fish will try to eat the snail so i recommend putting them in with goldfish or some other freshwater fish. I have a 10 gallon freshwater tank with a common goldfish and a golden inca snail and they live happily together. I hope this helps!
Marine snails evolved in water, and have gills that extract oxygen from the water. Water is pulled in through the siphon, and then pumped back out. In contrast, freshwater snails must travel to the surface to breath, as they actually have lungs, because they evolved from land snail anscestors.
Snails will eat any soft leaves close to the ground.
