Yes. As long as there are no two males living with each other. Siamese fighters do get aggressive when breeding but other than that they are a tolerant species that should not be kept with more boisterous tank mates.
Yes they can but there are a lot of conditions to consider when keeping a Betta in a community setting.
1. The Betta should be the LAST fish introduced, if it's in the tank first it will view any new additions as invaders to his territory, this is where most people make the mistake buying "friends" for their Betta!
2. The tank must be over 10-15 US gallons for any fish to be kept with a Betta, any tanks smaller than that are not suitable for other fish species.
3. The fish must be mid-bottom dwelling only (such as Corydoras), not too active (so nothing like Danios), not very colourful (no Guppies!), not be fin nippers (no Serpae Tetras or Tiger Barbs etc), not be territorial or aggressive (no Cichlids or Gouramis) and not be bite-sized (like micro-Rasboras/Ember Tetras)! Remember you MUST meet the needs of the other fish species too!
4. The tank must be filtered and heated, there must not be a strong current and there must be tall plants for the Betta to hide in.
5. A tank of 20 gallons or more is ideal for a Betta in a community. Fish such as Corydoras or Rummynose Tetras would work in a tank around that size or larger.
Sorry, type in: how do betta fish live?
yes betta fish have to live alone or one will kill the other.
No, they can live alone or with other female bettas. They might bite each other but won't kill.
Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
Male betta fish are typically aggressive and territorial, so they are best kept alone in a tank to prevent fighting with other fish.
other Betta fish and the bigger fish.
because beta fish are very aggressive fish and usually attack other fish
Betta fish are typically aggressive and territorial, so they may not live peacefully with other fish in a shared aquarium. It is best to keep bettas in a tank by themselves to prevent any conflicts.
Betta fish are generally hardy and can live for several years with proper care. However, they can be more sensitive to water quality and temperature changes compared to some other types of fish. With the right conditions and care, betta fish can thrive and live a long, healthy life.
Yes they would be fine (if they are plants that are ment to live underwater) for the betta splenden aka Siamese fighter fish (assuming that is the betta you are refering to) as it is a tropical fish
sure!i bet lots of peeps there have betta fish!
Nerite snails are a type of snail that can live peacefully with betta fish.
