They can live together but you will have to be carefull with the temperature setting of your heater/thermostat and try to keep the tank fairly steady at around 75F to suit both species of fish. Tetra Tropical Flakes are a good all round fish food. Bettas are insectivores and need more protein than guppies so it is a good idea to feed the fish a few Betta pellets and live brine shrimp occasionally.
Yes, bettas can eat tetra food as part of their diet, but it should not be their primary food source as bettas require a diet high in protein. It is important to provide a balanced diet for bettas that includes a variety of foods such as pellets, flakes, and live or frozen foods.
Bristlenose catfish (normal or albino), mollies, swordtails, black widows, some tetra species and sometimes bumblebee gobbies. There are many fish compatible with guppies.
Guppies ,mollies ,neon tetra, etc. about 3 each.
well, for guppies, if the small fin under the tail fin is long and ribbony, its male. if its wide like a tetra's, its female. ( Its the same for bettas.)
Yes they are omnivores and should be OK with most "All purpose" type Tropical Fish Flakes like Tetramin.
some very cheap tropical fish are guppies, danios, white clouds, and many species of tetra can be very cheap. also, if you are just looking for any fish, not neccessarily "pretty" i would go with feeder guppies.

If you have an over population of Guppy fish you might consider placing one of its natural predators in the tank for only a short time to reduce the over population : Oscar Fish, Jack Dempsey, Cichlids, or Paradise Fish. this new addition will need to be removed after the desired amount Guppies have been reduced.
yes, most fish that eat fish flakes eat any type i have over 10 types of fish in a tank and they all eat tetra flakes
Yes, all the flaked food is the same except goldfish flakes.
No, clown fish are marine fish and tetra and guppies are freshwater fish.
