Hi,
Yes you can eat waffles but you cannot use regular syrup.. There are many brands of Sugar-Free Pancake/Waffle syrup and Jellys... Warning: Don't expect the syrups to taste just like normal syrup and they are also alot thinner in constistance...
They can make sugar-free candy now which is great, but no company has found a way to make sugar-free syrup that is "right"... Some people like the taste of it, but being a diabetic for 32 years, I have always thought it tasted terrible...
Also, if you are on insulin, you could just take extra insulin and use regular syrup, not needing to worry about the sugar-free garbage......
We will eat waffles!!
Waffles like to eat pie on Thursday, not Sundays, or Saturdays.
Diabetics and non-diabetics have to eat carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the only organic compound that living organisms can use to produce energy.
A list of food that diabetics should avoid eating can be found at Livestrong and include donuts, white bread, bagels, waffles, corn chips, pretzels, pizza, potatoes, and watermelon.
