Yes -- they can and do. They can even catch marshmallows! Note that I refer to marshmallows you buy in the store -- not the 200 year old recipe using real marsh mallow plants. However, marshmallows are almost all sugar, so use them in moderation, and prepare for an active puppy.

In general, no - feeding your dog a few marshmallows, even a few giant ones to a toy breed dog, should not cause death. However, if your dog eats a whole bag of marshmallows and stuffs his/her stomach full of them, it is possible this could cause a gastric obstruction that can be fatal.

No, but they aren't exactly good for them, considering marshmallows are mainly sugar.

It won't hurt them to eat a couple every once in a while, but there is too much sugar in them for the dogs to eat a lot of them. It can rot their teeth.
