Can goldfish eat oats

Yes, but not as their main food source. Oats do not provide enough protein, fats, or vitamins, but can be given for 1-2 days if you have just run out of your regular flakes or granules. Do not feed more than the fish can eat in 3-5 minutes: the leftovers will lose flavor and be ignored by your goldies, and then will rot and foul the water in your tank.

any finely cut vegetables, eg broccoli, carrots, potato, some finely chopped ham, chicken, turkey or rinsed bacon to get the salt out . Also your goldfish will eat all sorts of cereal. Anything left over from dinner chopped up finely will be savaged by your goldfish and greatly accepted,not many people will do this cos the pet shop will try to sell them their fish food containers, best of luck. p.s. no bread or yeast foods, causes bloating and tends to bung their digestive systems up

I did last night, i forgot to grab fish food. I will be getting them fish flaks today, my pets shouldn't have to be deprived
