I have three in a tank at 24degrees with neons, black neons, glow lights, cat fish and loaches and they are fine at this temp.
do not put tropical fish in a cold water environment but do instead do some research into the temperatures that the fish like. the fish i have with mine are all suitable for this temperature and are doing much better that when they was at 26 degrees
I hope you guys are talking about 24 and 26 degrees Celsius. I own 3 fancies with a rubber lip pleco, some ghost shrimp, a mystery snail, and about 4 or 5 ottos. As long as the tank is big enough and the temp is just right, it should work out. My temp is 72-75 degrees Fahrenheit.
No. Goldfish are freshwater fish and tropical starfish are saltwater fish.
Goldfish are not a tropical fish. In addition, they are egg bearing rather than live birth.
None, goldfish are cold water fish, so having a tropical fish as a tank-mate just wouldn't work because tropical fish need to live in warm water.
No goldfish would prefer to have a lower temperature than any type of tropical fish, however some goldfish can withstand higher temperature if they are slowly acclimated to it! But in the long run goldfish would be happy with other goldfish and tropical fish with tropical fish... there is a reason you don't see the goldfish with the tropical fish in a good aquatic store.
It is not recommended. Goldfish are cold water fish while tropical fish are warm water fish. Also, goldfish need to be fed more often than most tropical fish and they produce elevated amounts of waste which can be detrimental to fish not accustomed to it.
no there not they are tropical fish
There is no pink goldfish. However, there are pink tropical fish.
Goldfish are freshwater, not saltwater.
A guppie is a tropical fish and should be kept in an aquarium with other tropical fish, a goldfish is kept in a bowl or tank in cold water - the 2 cannot be kept together because of the different in the temperature of the water
Mosquito fish are not Goldfish. They are tropical livebearers. They may eat the goldfish food but it is not the right food for them and so will not be good for them.
it depens on what type of gold fish u have ( ordinary or fancy ) The simple answer is no. You can not keep tropical fish and coldwater fish (goldfish) successfully for long. Amongst other things, Goldfish run out of oxygen and tend to stress when kept too hot for too long. The metabolism of Tropicals slows down when the water is too cool and their organs simply shut down and the fish die.Tropical fish and goldfish prefer different temperatures; goldfish like to be at around 70F (room temp), whereas tropicals need more in the 78-84F range, and so putting them together can be problematic in that either the goldfish or the tropicals will be outside their normal temperature range, which can lead to stress and disease.
