I would cut them up first though. Then, put them in a zip loc bag and squeeze all of the air out before you seal it.

Take the advice of someone who has actually done this before, not the advice of someone who hasn't. I don't know who she's talking about when she says "they say it is not a good Idea to freeze veggies", but I have frozen vegetables myself, and I buy them frozen from the grocery store all the time. I have NEVER had any problems.
