Cats should not eat lemons. Lemons can be toxic to cats and can cause gastrointestinal issues such as upset stomach, vomiting, and diarrhea. It is best to avoid feeding any citrus fruits to cats.
I'm new to the world of the Myer Lemon, but I have observed this happening. I believe after the tree sets the number of lemons that it can nourish, it rejects development of additional lemons.
lemons hahah no they eat jorge avellano
Rats! They peel lemons and the make a hole in oranges to eat the fruit. They prefer oranges but when the crop runs out, they move on to the Meyer lemon, leaving perfectly peeled fruit hanging from the tree like Christmas ornaments. Sprinkling repellent (coyote urine) worked a year ago and I will try it again this year.
Yes, I personally love to eat whole lemons, but I do not do this every day.
Citrus fruit like lemons, limes, and oranges.
My last car was a real lemon. The lemon tree is very pretty and it's flower smells so sweet. But alas! The fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat.
Most cats hate the smell of all citrus fruit (lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit). They will physically recoil from it (although, my uncle once had a cat that loved to eat oranges, so obviously there are exceptions). That is why most of those cat repellent sprays that you spray your sofa with are citrus-based. If you are asking if it's dangerous for a cat to eat lemons, then...I really don't think so, but I can't say for sure. Apparently it's okay for them to eat oranges, so I would assume lemons are okay too.

Some potential culprits that may eat the peel off lemons and leave them hanging on the tree include birds (such as parrots or crows), rodents (like squirrels), or potentially insects like citrus-loving pests. To prevent this issue, it may be beneficial to try using bird netting or consider pest control measures to protect the fruit.
Most cats hate the smell of anything citrus (lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits), but it won't hurt them. In fact, my uncle once had a cat that liked to eat oranges.
Lemons make kids or adults squint, say 'ewwww' because lemon is so sour.
