To thin out peanut butter, you can mix in a small amount of oil, such as vegetable or coconut oil, until you reach your desired consistency. Stir well to evenly distribute the oil throughout the peanut butter.
The best is extra virgin olive oil. But any oil can be used. Vegetable, peanut, olive or even corn oil.
Peanut butter can become watery if the oil separates from the solid parts. This can happen due to temperature changes or if the peanut butter is old. Stirring the peanut butter well can help to mix the oil back in and make it less watery.
Primarily peanuts and oil blended together.
blended oils such as canola/corn oil, corn/palm oil, olive/canola oil, and peanut/sesame oil, as well as flavored cooking oils that infused herbs and other seasonings, including garlic
To effectively mix natural peanut butter, stir it well using a sturdy utensil until the oil is fully incorporated. You can also try storing it upside down before mixing to help distribute the oil evenly.
Any light vegetable oil will work. Corn oil, canola oil, peanut oil (although it has a slightly stronger flavor) or olive oil (not extra virgin) are all possibilities.
