Hey there, You sure can mate! As long as the water conditons are right for both fish and niether fish are aggressive towards others. Fighters are aggressive towards other male fighters but normally go alright with other fish unless u put him in with nippy fish for example barbs. So u should be fine, but there is a slight chance the fighter might flare up at ur algae eater or try to have a go. But it shouldn't go any further than that. Just keep an eye on them. :oD Catch!
