I don't think you can freeze to may kinds of seafood ....i have been looking it up on the net because my husband is a lobster fishermen and we have been looking for ways to freeze his catch ....but all i come up with is you must cook it first then store the lobster.... If anyone know about storing live lobster please share
All seafood must be killed and gutted and cleaned before freezing. If you freeze them live, the contents of the gut will contaminate the flesh. If you cryovac them, they don't have to be cooked. It's especially important to clean bottom feeders as they pick up the most contaminants.Heavy metals sink.
if you freeze a fish and thaw it soon enough it might live. some animals can survive if u freeze them. e.g. a lobster will come back to life if u thaw it
Fresh Fish - Live Lobster = Red Lobster

crayfish is the name of the fresh water lobster. In a sense yes a lobster could be considered an ocean crayfish. They are found in bodies of water that do not freeze to the bottom; they are also mostly found in brooks and streams where there is fresh water running, and which have shelter against predators.
There are a few ways, you can deep freeze the Lobster, this puts the Lobster to sleep and shuts down its systems so when you 'kill' it will not feel a thing or you can place the Lobster in a large pot of cold water then bring the water to the boil, this puts the Lobster to sleep and a painless death follows. Some drop the Lobster into rapidly boiling water the Lobster dies instantly.
