i thinks so because if a neon fish 2 inches long, a little gold fish can not fit it in its mouth.
You should be more worried about the neon fish getting eaten. Goldfish can get up to about a foot but they usually don't get THAT big (mine are about 6"). Goldfish will eat anything that will fit into it's mouth. Whether it is ghost shrimp, or a smaller goldfish, they will eat it.
they don't. i have my gold fish in a glow fish tank with a blue LED light and he acts just fine. ;) Light has no effect on a Goldfish's behavior other than the fact that a goldfish will usually go to sleep when the lights are turned off.
The best thing to do is ask the shopkeeper in the fish shop and find out first but goldfish go together with no problems if you are lucky because some goldfish can't live together. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldfish
Coldwater fish go with Goldfish (temperature under 70F). Tropical fish go with Bettas (temperature over 70F). Just make sure that you don't put any more than one Betta in a tank. So Bettas and tropicals don't go with Goldfish and vice versa.
Most! Maybe if you go to a pet shop and ask but mostly all fish can live with a goldfish in a tank
Well fish such as goldfish go in cold water and fish such as angel fish (tropical) go in warm water. Try not to mix them up as one fish may not live. If you would like to get goldfish don't mix them with fantail fish with 2 split tails as the goldfish will attack. So keep fantails with their own kind. Hope I helped.
My best suggestion is to go to a fish store and supply them with the information about your sick goldfish. They might pinpoint the sickness and offer you some medication for your fish.
well a shark because a gold fish is a smaller enemy
If it is goldfish: 7 can fit. if it is mos other fish (besides koi) you can fit 14
Fish comes top of the water to get oxygen.
You CAN'T get a goldfish betta food (trust me, poor goldie! :-( ) So Im guessing its the other way around . Just in case go to petsmart and they can give you gerat food prices that are worth it, good luck with your fish!
Yes. Aslong as the gold fish (coldwater fish) and the pleco (warm water fish) do not go into one extreme or the other on the temperature scale. Your plecostomus will look like it is eating your goldfish if it doesn't get enough food.
goldfish are very messy fish, they most likely won't hurt another fish but they are so dirty and expel so much waste that the other fish will die because of the waste. If you have a pond female bettas are good, as long as you have some form of filtration. If you have a tank algae eaters can go in and some times mollies.
