it is ideal however i have kept 3 hamsters in the past and they hardly used it, i looked after a friends hamster and i put a mineral block in and she demolished it in 20 mins ...
yes they still need exercise
yes they do. buy him/her a wheel if you haven't already and stimulate him/her to use it!
Well, hamsters need exercise, but they usually do that by running on a wheel if you have one. But if you have a guinea pig they have to run around outside, not in a wheel or a ball because it could cause back problems. Your welcome!
It is bad for a hamster to not have a wheel. Hamsters need their exercise or else they can die.
Syrian hamsters will need bedding on the cage floor. They need a bowl to put their food in, a water bottle, and a wheel to run in. This is the bare minimum.
Only if they have a wheel.
a hamster wheel of course
No, hamsters do not have the cognitive ability to understand that they are running on a wheel for exercise. They simply see it as a fun activity and do not comprehend the concept of exercise or fitness.
well in the summer i make a run that i put my guinea pigs in and they exercise for about 5 hours each day at the weekends. But when i'm working they are in their run for about 1-2 hours when i get home. I hope this helps.
Melt some yogurt treats (Make sure it is made for hamsters).Take a spoon and smash the extra chunks left. Dip the mineral stone in the melted yogurt treats and then let it harden. Put the mineral stone back in your hamsters cage. If that does not work try smashing the mineral stone into small pieces and put them in your hamsters food bowl.
Your hamster doesn't need to go in the ball everyday , If your hamster has an exercise wheel then you can put them in the ball when you want to. I have 2 hamsters and they both have hamster balls and i only put them in it 3 times a week at the most :)
Every night, if they have a wheel, the will burn off the fat. So if you don't have a wheel, get it!
