In older trucks and cars, the answer is yes, the palm oil or bio diesel may destroy rubber gaskets over time. In cars produced after 1998 or 2000 I think it does not matter as the seals and gaskets are made of different materials, designed to tolerate bio diesel. The palm oil will not effect the engine otherwise than it will be a little less powerful on pure palm oil. Don't try to run it on palm oil unless you live in a hot country, or have a heater element placed in the fuel tank in a colder climate.

There is not a whole lot of difference if you are using the oil in an older diesel engine. The diesel oil of today has special additives to combat the soot buildup in the oil from the EGR.
