In older trucks and cars, the answer is yes, the palm oil or bio diesel may destroy rubber gaskets over time. In cars produced after 1998 or 2000 I think it does not matter as the seals and gaskets are made of different materials, designed to tolerate bio diesel. The palm oil will not effect the engine otherwise than it will be a little less powerful on pure palm oil. Don't try to run it on palm oil unless you live in a hot country, or have a heater element placed in the fuel tank in a colder climate.
No you can not use gas engine oil in diesel engine oil because processing of diesel engine is different from gas engine oil. If you use this then it damage your vehicles.
NO, do not use diesel oil and a gasoline engine.
"Diesel oil" or "Heavy oil" is another term for diesel fuel. Not to be confused with "engine oil for a diesel engine" which means lubricating oil specially formulated for use in diesel rather than petrol engines.
You can use any oil that is for on-highway diesel use. Rotella, Royal Purple, etc. all have diesel engine oil.
5w30 or 5w40 synthetic diesel engine oil
There is not a whole lot of difference if you are using the oil in an older diesel engine. The diesel oil of today has special additives to combat the soot buildup in the oil from the EGR. The diesel oil will get dirty a lot sooner on the late model engines. A 15w40 for a gas engine can be used in a diesel.
15W-30 or 15W-40 diesel oil is generally used as an all-around engine oil. Specific oil for diesel engines must be used. Any 2009 or newer engine (in the US) must use API-CJ4 low ash diesel oil.
Use exactly what the manufacture of the diesel engine recommends and nothing else.Yes. 15W diesel oil is something of a "default" for use in medium/heavy duty trucks and heavy equipment in most of the US.... unless you're in a place like Alaska, 15W is a good "all around" engine oil for diesel engines.
5w30 or 5w40 synthetic diesel engine oil
Yes
Any diesel engine should use any 15-40 weighted oil. Reason being is that because it is the heaviest and thickest engine oil and takes longer to break down due to incresed oil pressure experienced by a diesel engine.
