Tide laundry detergent does not typically contain coconut oil as an ingredient. Tide formulations primarily include surfactants, enzymes, and other cleaning agents designed to remove stains and dirt from fabrics. However, it's always a good idea to check the specific product's ingredient list for the most accurate information, as formulations can vary.
soapless detergents are made from oil products.
What's the best scholarly sources for affects these oil, vinegar, laundry detergent have in water if contamination occur
Liquid detergent consists of a hydrophilic sulphurous head and a hydrophobic hydrocarbon tail. When detergent is added to coconut oil and water, the head dissolves in water and the tail dissolves in the oil. When the water is agitated, the coconut oil begins to emulsify because the charges on the surface of the coconut oil are now the same, repelling each other, forming globules.
When you mix laundry detergent and water, the detergent molecules attach to dirt and oil particles, breaking them up and making them easier to wash away. This process is known as emulsification, where the detergent helps to lift and suspend dirt in the water to be rinsed away.
tide, as a matter of fact it actually wears your cloth's out faster.
if it's a fresh mark, try rubbing it with the clear alcohol
That's a question of semantics. With very few exceptions, all laundry detergent is "synthetic". Detergent is generally made up of a few kinds of ingredients: an oil basedsurfactant (cleaner), specially built protein enzymes (enhanced stain removers ), preservatives, coloring agents and perfume. Some detergents don't bother with the stain removers and just rely on the hot water and alkaline action (like with baking soda) to clean the laundry. In any case, if you are looking for an organic (read: NOT synthetic) laundry detergent, you are looking for something like Seventh Generation. It is made from palm oil based surfactants, is not dyed and has what constitutes a "natural" fragrance in this country.
My best guess is Tide because it breaks up oil stains the best! (I hope this helps people chose a better detergent instead of high prised waste of crape that dosen's work) Lady E :)<3
Laundry detergent doesn't remove Sharpie because Sharpie is water-resistant and most detergents are made and are used in water, so it would only make the ink fade. To get Sharpie out of clothes or something I would suggest rubbing alcohol.
It has to be a non detergent oil
Laundry detergent typically consists of surfactants to remove dirt and stains, enzymes to break down proteins and oil-based stains, builders to soften hard water and improve detergent efficiency, brighteners to enhance appearance, and fragrance to provide a pleasant scent. Additional ingredients like stabilizers and anti-redeposition agents may also be included.
