You do what is best for your child and yourself - you have to keep going for the two of you and above all for your child. Join some mother & child groups and spend time doing things that keep you busy and happy, not only will you meet new people within the groups you will be spending time with your child and occupying your time which you will realize heals all wounds. It will just take some time and it will get better.
