High amounts of sodium (salt) are often found in salted beef, jerky, salted / preserved fish, seafood, soups, and pretzles.
I am not endorsing this company over any other company, but i like this product, also try the hot buffalo wing ones.
For salty, have some pretzles. A handful is about 100 calories. Or have salted nuts.
If you have high blood pressure you can still eat some foods with salt in them, you just have to lower the amount of salt that you use in your foods. Such as stay away from foods such as pretzles.
Some vegetarian snacks could be veggies and dip, crackers, pretzles, potato chips, chips and salsa, and some types of cookie depending on the level of vegetarianism. Drinks can be water, juice, and possibly milk.
Pretzels are dipped in a water/base solution. You can use baking powder but it does not work nearly as well as the real deal which is sodium hydroxide. If purchasing sodium hydroxide I would ensure to get food grade and only use what a recipe calls for. Natrumlauge is the German word for sodium hydroxide. You can dip rolls into it and make pretzel rolls or laugebrotchen as they are called in German. Cheers!
There are many fun treats to use as alternate to sugary candy for Halloween. Pretzles are good, along with Goldfish. Chips and dip is always popular as a snack or for a party. Also, some "sweet" treats like a candy apple still have a bit of sweetness in them, but still are semi-alright ( Awww ell naw dont giv dem kids dat nasty crap CANDY CANDY CANDY [DONT BE CHEAP]
Whatever you can put in your car! Usually snack chips, beef jerky, or candy such as Jolly Ranchers or Gum. Also, there's crackers, pretzles, vacuum-packed fruit, canned peaches or pears, dried fruit snacks like dried bananas, or raisins. Plus, there's trail mix, one of my favorites! Usually anything tightly packaged will stay fresh, depending on how long your trip is.
