How do hamsters defend them selves?

If they're being attacked they use them to attack their prey or other mammals

Actually the boys do not defend them selves to girl hamsters. I had a boy hamster. My friend had a girl and the girl killed my hamster and only a few defend them selves. so i don't think boys defend them selves. but girls do there very mean to the boys so I'm going to get a new boy hamster! :) Never get a girl and boy hamster in the same cage.They will kill eaach other. :(

The basics: keep away from other pets and children. Check to see that there aren't any wires on their cage that could hurt them, since they're almost certainly going to gnaw the wires for a good many minutes each day.

Don't place hamsters of the same sex together, and don't overcrowd cages.

Make sure that they can't open the doors, tie all the possible exits with a kitchen wire if you have an escape artist type.

Hamsters are poorly equipped to defend themselves from predators. Running and hiding is their only real defence, panicked biting won't do much.
