GREAT question! :) Put water, and brown sugar in a pan on medium heat, wait for the water to simmer and thicken with the brown sugar, then put in the sliced apples. After that it is just a matter of time for the apples to get soft, tender, sweet and juicy!!!!!!!!

Some flavors are lost a bit through the baking process, and some of the sugars carmalize and change tastes and forms.
I dunno, u could put it on a pan and set the temp 4 300 *F and cook till it looks hot and caramelized? ?????????
