How do you clear browser history?

+ctrl+shift+delete only for firefox

A word of caution though - you will not succeed in removing ALL traces of what you have been up to on your computer unless you completely overwrite the entire disk. Barring that, a good computer forensic examiner will still be able to recover all sorts of artifacts that will show so much that it won't much matter if you delete your history or not. Deleting your history only prevents a casual examiner from seeing where you have been.

To clear web browser cache, follow the instructions below for your specific web browser:

Internet Explorer

1. Click Tools, and then Internet Options
2. Within the Internet Options window, locate the Browsing history section
3. Click the Delete... button
4. Within the Delete Browsing History window, locate the Temporary Internet Files section
5. Click the Delete files... button, and click Yes to the confirmation window
6. Within the Delete Browsing History window, locate the Cookies section
7. Click the Delete files... button, and click Yes to the confirmation window
8. Click the Close button on the Delete Browsing History window
9. Click the OK button on the Internet Options window

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click Tools, and then Clear Private Data...
2. In the Clear Private Data window, un-check all check boxes except Cache and Cookies
3. Click Clear Private Data now

Apple Safari (Mac version)

1. Press Safari in the menu bar (top left corner)
2. Choose Empty Cache... from menu
3. Press Empty button

1. Go to settings (small clog icon for ie8).

2. Go to internet options.

3. Go down to the Browsing History box and press delete..

4. Tick all boxes which you choose to delete the history.

5. Press delete.

Just Press Ctrl + Sift + Delboth three keys together and check all option in next popup and then clear everything. It's done, your browser is totally clear even address bar too.

For Internet Explorer, click Tools, then Safety, then Delete Browser HistoryFor Safari, click Safari at the top of the toolbar, then click Clear History and Website Data

It depends on which browser you are using. Go to it's settings and delete the history from there.

Answers will also have a history entry if you open it. Just mark it on your browser history and delete it.
