-Spray air freshener

I live in Florida and have my air conditioner on all the time. Whenever that happens (I'm guilty of burning bacon a lot, lol), I take my air conditioner's filter and spray Febreze on it, then put it back into the air conditioner and let the air run. The fresh, clean, and pretty smells get through the whole house, getting rid of the burned bacon smell as it travels through the house. Doing it this way helps spread the nice smell all over instead of having to go from room to room spraying the smell away. Not to mention it lasts awhile too :)
The smell of bacon travels through the house because bacon releases aromatic compounds when it is cooked, which easily evaporate into the air. These compounds are small molecules that can be carried by air currents throughout the house, making the smell noticeable in different rooms.
The smell of bacon travels through a house due to diffusion, which is the movement of particles from an area of higher concentration to lower concentration. As bacon cooks, the compounds responsible for its aroma are released into the air and disperse throughout the house. These compounds are volatile, meaning they easily vaporize and spread the scent.
Roald Dahl's favorite savory smell was the aroma of bacon cooking. He mentioned it in one of his books, "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More."
