DO NOT pick him up out of the dirt. Digging under sand/dirt is a sign of molting. Look online and find other information on molting. If you are sure he is molting separate him from the other crabs if you have any right away.
yes it can
They probably come out of their shells to do it, but no crab has reproduced in captivity.
a hermit crab
What is a Hermit Crab's predator?
If it is a hermit crab, then it is like any other hermit crab, so just take care of it as you would to a regular hermit crab :)
It's term 'hermit' is not because it doesn't like other hermit crabs. The hermit crab actually loves being with other hermits. It is called hermit crab because it is only one hermit crab in the shell. It's term 'hermit' is not because it doesn't like other hermit crabs. Just pull on it, it should come out.
Only if no one is around!
The opposite of a hermit crab is a social butterfly.
hermit crab family always helps
a hermit crab can be from 1cm - 17.5cm in length!
No, not if they are like wood chips because then the hermit crab won't be able to dig underground to molt. i would use play sand or coconut fiber dirt, i would also use coco huck dirt, anything that a hermit crab can dig in.
