I believe that Bartlett Pears can self polinate. As in one tree. If you have 2 trees, well, the more the merrier, but a polinator is not needed.

They're called pears. You may decide what type of pear to use such as (Anjou, REd Anjou, Bartlett, Bosc, Asian, etc.).
Dwarf fruit trees can produce fruits including oranges, apples, pears, lemons, and limes.
Well first, you have to get a tree/ shrub and to do that you go to the building menu and in the first section, you scroll until you get to the shrub. Then click on it and place it in your village. Click on the shrub and the side menu will pop up. Find pears and click on them. If you are not the required level, then it is impossible to harvest pears. They will take 48 hours to grow (or smurfberries). When they are finished growing, just click on them to harvest! (if you already have a shrub, skip the first part!)
I was just wondering the same thing and it seems various pears are in season from late summer (Bartlett) until winter (Anjou). Go here for more info http://www.thecitycook.com/cooking/articles/season/000003
Two types of pears can be grown in Virginia.European pears (Pyrus communis) are the type most commonly seen in the supermarkets. Common varieties include 'Bartlett', D'Anjou', 'Bosc' and 'Comice'. These pears are picked when mature but before they are ripe, then they are exposed to a chilling period, and then ripened. The flesh of the ripe fruit is usually soft and mealy.Asian pears were developed from several Pyrus species, but are usually considered to belong to the genus Pyrus and the species serotina. Asian pears are sometimes marketed as "Sand pears", "Chinese pears", "Japanese pears", or "apple pears". Asian pears are usually fairly round and ripen on the tree. The flesh is usually white, crisp, sweet, and juicy. Asian pears are best eaten after being held in the refrigerator for a day or two. Then the fruit is peeled, cored, and sliced.
