Alfredo sauce, invented by a New York chef, is butter, flour, garlic, cream(or milk), and parmesan cheese.

It is served over pasta (usually fettucini) .

Add another ingredient (broccoli, chicken...etc.) and you have the corresponding dish.

That being said. I would surmise that for Oyster Alfredo you would add steamed or smoked oysters to Fettucini Alfredo.

Alfredo sauce: [my recipe: others are different]

4 tbs butter

2 tbs flour

3 garlic cloves, crushed

1/2 cup sour cream

1 1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup parmesan cheese

In a large skillet melt butter, sautee garlic lightly, add flour, stir smooth

add milk and stir until thickened, stir in sour cream and cheese. If sauce is too thick add more milk or cream.

Garnish with fresh parsley.
