Start with a can of crushed tomatoes or two cans of tomato sauce. Heat it to simmering and add a teaspoon of dry thyme, a teaspoon of onion powder and a teaspoon of garlic powder. Simmer the soup for 10 minutes and then add cream to your taste if desired. Let the soup remain on low heat for another 10 minutes but not boiling. Then serve.
