"Chinese apples" are Pomegranates! They are NOT oranges. I thought Chinese Apples referred to oranges. One of the words for referring to oranges in German is Apfelsinne (Chinese apple), and people living in the Caribbean (Dominican Republic especially) call oranges "Chinitas" (literally little Chinese ones).
