How do you season a ham?

Here are some good ideas:

• Score the ham skin and insert 5 whole cloves into the skin before glazing. Whisk together 3/4 cup real maple syrup, 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar and 1/2 teaspoonful mustard powder and brush on ham. Refresh the glaze several times during baking. You can also spread 1 8-ounce can of crushed pineapple over the ham after the first glaze.
• Grind together 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 cloves garlic, 1/2 cup mango chutney, 2 teaspoonfuls orange zest, 1/8 cup Orange Juice and 1/4 cup Dijon mustard in food processor until smooth. Glaze ham and bake.
• Whisk together 1 cup apple butter, 1/2 cup orange juice, 1 tablespoonful dried onion flakes and 1 tablespoonful Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan. Simmer until slightly thickened and glaze ham before baking.
• Or just mix 1 cup brown sugar with 2 tablespoonfuls of prepared mustard (or enough to make a paste) and glaze the ham before baking.
